šŸŒ NotebookLM Expands to 80 Languages

Google is making NotebookLM even more global. This week, the company rolled out support for 80 new languages in its Video Overviews feature, including French, German, Spanish, and Japanese. Now, users worldwide can instantly turn their notes, PDFs, and images into video presentations in their own language.

At the same time, Audio Overviews are also being upgraded. Non-English summaries, which were previously short and limited, can now be generated in more detailed formats. Users will still have the option to request a quick highlight version if they just want the essentials.

These updates come just a month after NotebookLM launched Video Overviews in English, showing how quickly Google is moving to make its AI tools more accessible worldwide. By supporting both video and audio summaries across 80+ languages, NotebookLM is aiming to serve a broader, global audience of students, professionals, and researchers.

The rollout begins today and will reach users globally over the next week.

šŸ¤– Elon Musk Unveils New AI Venture "Macrohard"

Elon Musk is launching yet another AI company — this time called Macrohard, a tongue-in-cheek jab at Microsoft. Announced on X, Musk described it as a ā€œpurely AIā€ software company capable of replicating the operations of firms like Microsoft, which don’t build physical hardware.

According to Musk’s AI chatbot Grok, Macrohard will focus on software agents for coding, image generation, and workflow automation, running as multi-agent systems powered by Grok itself. The venture already has a U.S.

trademark filing for ā€œagentic artificial intelligenceā€ and other AI-related software.

While Musk juggles Tesla, SpaceX, xAI, and more, Macrohard adds to his ever-growing list of projects — raising questions about how much attention he can devote to each. Still, the bold aim is clear: an AI-run software giant to rival Microsoft.

āš–ļø Musk’s xAI Sues Apple & OpenAI Over ā€œAnti-Competition"

Elon Musk’s xAI and X have filed a lawsuit against Apple and OpenAI, accusing them of colluding to block competition in the AI space. The suit argues Apple’s partnership with OpenAI — which integrates ChatGPT into iPhones — unfairly protects Apple’s smartphone dominance while cementing OpenAI as the leading chatbot provider.

The filing comes amid Musk’s ongoing feud with OpenAI, the company he co-founded but later split from. Musk has already sued to stop its for-profit shift and even offered a $97.4B takeover bid that was rejected.

Musk claims Apple’s deal makes it ā€œimpossible for any AI company besides OpenAI to reach #1 in the App Store.ā€ With AI partnerships set to launch on iOS in December, this legal battle could reshape how tightly Big Tech controls the AI ecosystem — and may set new precedents for AI market regulation.
