🎨 Google Launches AI Mood-Board App “Mixboard”

Google has unveiled Mixboard, a new AI-powered mood board app designed to make creative brainstorming more seamless. Instead of relying on pre-made templates or stock images, users can now generate visual boards directly from text prompts, edit them with AI suggestions, and refine styles on the fly.
The app is powered by Google’s latest Nano Banana image-editing model, which allows for more natural adjustments, blending, and regeneration of visuals. Early testers can ask Mixboard to add specific items, adjust aesthetics, or even generate descriptive text from images, making it a hybrid tool for both visual and conceptual ideation.
Currently available in public beta through Google Labs in the U.S., Mixboard is aimed at designers, event planners, creators, and everyday users looking to map out ideas like home decor, branding concepts, or personal projects.
Google is positioning it as a more fluid and intuitive alternative to existing collage apps, emphasizing creativity over rigid templates.
With Mixboard, Google continues its push to bring generative AI into consumer-facing creative workflows, lowering barriers for people to turn vague ideas into concrete, shareable visuals.
🖼️ Google Lets Android Users Edit Photos by Talking or Texting the AI

Google announced that Android users can now edit their photos using natural language commands, either by speaking or texting via Google Photos. Instead of hunting through sliders or tools, users tap “Help me edit” and simply describe their desired changes, like removing objects or fixing lighting.
Powered by Gemini AI, the feature supports follow-up prompts for fine-tuning edits and can handle both simple adjustments and more complex transformations. Previously limited to Pixel 10 devices, it’s now rolling out more broadly.
Google is also introducing support for C2PA Content Credentials, which lets users verify whether an image was AI-edited — a move toward transparency in image generation.
Currently, the feature is enabled for users 18 and older in the U.S., with more geographic expansions expected in the future.
🌍 Google Expands Its AI Plus Plan to 40+ Countries

Google is rolling out its cheaper AI Plus tier across more than 40 countries, offering a more affordable entry point to its suite of AI tools. The new rollout includes nations such as Indonesia, Ghana, Kenya, Mexico, Vietnam, Egypt, and Nigeria — many in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
The AI Plus plan gives users access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, along with AI capabilities for image and video creation (like Flow, Whisk, and Veo 3 Fast). It also unlocks enhanced functionality in Google’s research assistant NotebookLM, smarter tools in Gmail, Docs, and Sheets, and includes 200 GB of cloud storage.
Google has set the monthly price around $5 USD in many regions and is offering 50% off for six months in select places like Nepal and Mexico. This move directly challenges OpenAI’s (recently expanded) sub-$5 ChatGPT plan, though India — where OpenAI has made big strides — is noticeably missing from Google’s list this time.
With this push, Google is clearly aiming to make advanced AI more accessible globally, especially in markets where high subscription prices often act as barriers.
